The idea of February BJP was combining old and new, stiches I am familiar with new Stiches. Combining also beadweaving with bead embroidery. .
But ... the work drifted into something else... The initial idea, and the connection to the subject is not so clear. Everything looks the same to me, as if it is the extend to the cofusion of my January BJP...
Shalom, Miri. One of the cool things about bead embroidery is that it takes you places you don't expect. I think it's because you're not following a set pattern and because you're beading thoughts and feelings. That's what makes it so exciting to me, at least. Thanks for sharing. Yours,Susan
ReplyDeleteThe word that comes to mind is sculpture!. It's lovely!"
ReplyDeletewhat does your project represent to you? the first thing i thought of when i first saw it was a wishing well with magical fairy dust coming from it. (but that's just me...i like fairies! :) i think it looks very spring-like to me, and i like your use of both beadweaving and bead embroidery. very pretty! .
ReplyDeleteI like this -- it's very lively and colorful. I think that you succeeded in using the old and new stitches together to create something new.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments.:) It gives me motivation to start the March Project.

You are really doing a beautiful job being you have done 2 piece. They are very intricate. Rules are not stupid, they help us get by in our lives We just have to notice when they are getting in our way. I think you have done beautiful work. Julie C
ReplyDeleteYour January and February pieces seem similar to you. Right? That is one of the goals of the Bead Journal Project... to develop a unique style, a unique fingerprint in your art. This you already have. The two pieces are different in many ways, yet I would have no doubt they were both made by the same artist. This is great!!!! I like both of them very, very much! Robin A.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your warm words. Thank you Robin for the important point you made..
